This course introduces students to those areas of psychology that are more closely concerned with “the mind”. The fundamental principles underlying human perception and cognition introduced in the course are perceptual organisation, perception of spatial layout, perceptual learning, object recognition, attention, memory storage and retrieval, problem solving and decision making.
