In this course you will use a realist philosophical framework to explore critical issues and practice in contemporary visual arts education. Investigations of the complex relationships between practices in art and art education, creativity, and the nature of students’ learning in art will provide a basis on which you can then critically examine a range of issues in curriculum design, implementation and assessment in Visual Arts in school, state, national and global contexts.
